
Al-Taj News – Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh on Sunday inspected a number of existing investment projects in the Al-Rawda Industrial Area, affiliated with the Ma’an Development Area, to review the progress of work, expansion plans, and investors’ needs.
During the visit, which took place on the sidelines of a Cabinet session held in Ma’an Governorate, Abu Ghazaleh reviewed production operations and development plans, listened to investors’ needs and the challenges facing their businesses, and discussed the measures needed to enable their investments to expand and increase production, employment, and exports.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, the visit witnessed the signing of agreements to establish three new investment projects in the Al-Rawda Industrial Area, in the fields of food industries, fluorine products and agricultural pesticides, and nitrogen fertilizers, with planned investments amounting to approximately JOD 5.2 million. The projects are expected to provide dozens of job opportunities.
Abu Ghazaleh stressed the importance of expanding the investment base in the governorates, as part of a government approach that the Ministry of Investment is working to translate into economic opportunities that contribute to supporting local development and enabling residents of the governorates to establish and develop their projects, in addition to attracting new investments from various parts of the Kingdom.
He said these projects represent models of productive investments capable of growth and expansion, contributing to localizing industries, strengthening economic activity in the governorates, and providing job opportunities.
The tour included a number of operating investments in the area in the fertilizers and paper industries sectors, where the minister reviewed production lines and expansion plans, as well as the job opportunities provided by these investments and the potential for their products to reach regional and international markets.
